The question I came up with for my research assignment was, did Pablo Escobar's crime outweigh his legacy left behind after his death? I came up with this question over the course of a week or so trying to find a good question that could have enough information on it. I was going to write my paper on the movie Blow after watching the movie but there was simply not enough information to make a good enough paper. While watching the movie and seeing the part about Pablo Escobar who was their supplier I did some research on him and found out his story and legacy he left on in this world and especially in Columbia.
This website I created is based on a question about a man named Pablo Escobar. The question is did Pablo’s crimes outweigh his legacy left behind? Pablo Escobar basically globalized the drug of cocaine. He made cocaine a drug of choice throughout the world (In Medellin becomes tourist attraction). He along with the special army he possessed made billions of dollars in the drug trafficking business to america. He was so successful and powerful that he was once listed on the Forbes top ten richest people, coming in 7th (In Medellin becomes tourist attraction). My paper on Pablo talks about the beginning of his crime sprees and gets more into depth about the organization he ran, such as corruption, violence, as well as the good deeds he did to the public.
